Privacy policy
Budget Engine Mac mini runs on the owner’s Mac. The owner controls access to the app and its saved records, receipt images and backups.
When the owner connects Google Drive, the app uses access to specific files it creates or is authorised to use to sync and read its ledgers, receipts and backups. When the owner separately connects Google Calendar, the app reads selected calendars and their events to help match scheduled visits to travel records. It does not edit calendar events.
Google authorisation credentials are stored on the owner’s Mac and used to maintain the connections. The app does not sell Google data or use it for advertising. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
When the owner uses photo analysis, the app sends the selected receipt or document image to OpenAI for reading and field suggestions. The owner reviews the results before saving.
The owner can revoke either Google connection in their Google Account. Revocation stops future access; existing copies remain in the owner’s local storage and Google Drive until removed separately.
